                                                                                                                                                                金钟罩为硬功外壮,属阳刚之劲,兼内壮之劲,为七十二艺硬功中最要之功夫,其练法稍繁难。初练时,须用败布成一锤,在周身上前后捶击之。
                                                                                                                                                                初则甚觉痛楚,击之既久,渐不觉痛,再换木棰;木棰击而不觉痛时,再换铁锤;铁锤亦不觉痛时,便用揭谛功之方法,及铁布衫之方法,并铁牛功之方法,如法练习二三年,胸背坚如铁石。莫论拳脚不能及,即刀剑亦难伤损。
                                                                                                                                                                练成金钟罩功夫之人,胸背等处之骨骼,皆合并起来,并在一起,如天生独块相似;若在赤臂之时,功夫也一望便知。金钟罩乃是少林寺四大神功之一,由少林寺始祖达摩禅师所创,一共分十二大关,每关循序渐进。
                                                                                                                                                                功成后几乎天下无敌,傲视武林。第一关:练习运气吐纳,令全身经脉畅通无阻,培养体内真气运转,若遭击打,可减底一半痛楚。
                                                                                                                                                                第二关:内劲及护身气功渐渐形成,体内真气亦渐深厚,能保护内脏不易受伤。练成头两关,普通击打对练者有如搔痒一般。
                                                                                                                                                                第三关:以棍棒等武器击打练者,打得越重,练成的速度越快,令肌肉产生强大抵抗力,毫不觉痛。第四关:先用钝口的刀剑劈断,渐而转趋锋利,当利刃只能劈伤皮肤而不损肌肉时方算功成。
                                                                                                                                                                第五关:专修内劲反震,棍棒打来的力度越大,练者的反震力越强,甚至硬生生震断对方兵器。第六关:练成者已属一流高手,任何尖锥锋刃难伤,除非刺中练者的罩门、双目、双耳、口、下阴或重要穴道,方能致死。
